MISSOULA URBAN INDIAN HEALTH CENTER
Funds from the Missoula Urban Indian Health Center’s (MUIHC) Indian Taco stand at the Missoula Fairgrounds are directly allocated to the Board of Directors donation fund. At the Board of Directors direction, these funds are used to support activities and programming around Missoula. The funds are primarily reserved for causes and organizations that directly impact the Missoula American Indian community, as well as other historically marginalized communities. The Board of Directors have donated to such causes and organizations as the Missoula youth powwow and basketball tournament, the MLK Day youth march, and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women march and vigil. The Indian Taco stand generates the yearly available funds that sustain the donation fund; without the stand, the Board of Directors would not have funds to meet community needs.
