Get ready to shine at the 2025 Western Montana Fair! The Missoula County Fairgrounds is calling all talented individuals and groups to apply to one of two fabulous opportunities at this year’s Western Montana Fair. Whether you are a rising star looking to get in front of the audience, an established band that wants to explore an exciting new venue, or a dance group that wants to experiment with new choreography, the fair wants to hear from you!

Live Music Search - Deadline April 1
Bands seeking an exciting new venue with 20,000+ visitors are invited to perform at the Western Montana Fair’s evening event, The Hoedown in Midtown. Energetic, family-friendly bands that can keep the dance floor lively and extend the Fair’s spirit after the rodeo are encouraged to apply. All music genres are welcome, provided they can get the crowd dancing. Bands must be able to perform a 90-minute set and provide a party atmosphere for Fairgoers . Apply by April 1 for a chance to be one of five selected bands. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
Community Talent Search - Deadline April 1
Emerging talents and community members with unique skills are invited to apply for the Historic Plaza and NEW! Community Showcase opportunities at the Western Montana Fair. These venues provide a platform to share knowledge, entertain, or demonstrate a skill in front of a live audience. Performance slots are 45 minutes long, with flexibility in format and content. Sound amplification and technical assistance are provided. Applications, including a link to previous work, are due by April 1 for consideration. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
