FAIR HOURS

The Western Montana Fair operates from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. August 6-10 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. August 11. Public parking opens 7:30 a.m. There is one lot for handicap parking (Stephens Ave. entrance) and two lots for public parking entering from Russell St. and entering from Stephen’s Ave. There is no entry from South Ave.

Park HOURS

The park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Park users are welcome to picnic (no alcohol is permitted when picnicking during the Fair). Water fill stations are located along the trail. Restrooms are open to the public during the Fair.

FEES

The Fair and all live music performances are free to all. No gate fees are charged to enter the Fairgrounds. Fees only apply with regard to parking, concessions, carnival and grandstand events as noted.

PETS Prohibited

Only service animals are permitted during the Fair in designated areas. Service animals may be excluded where it is determined that allowing service animals would fundamentally alter the nature of the goods, services, programs or activities provided to the public. Service animals are excluded from the Llama Barn (Building #34), poultry exhibits and rabbit exhibits during the Fair.

WASTE

The Fairgrounds’ recycling receptacles are located along the trail and plaza. Last year 74% off all waste created at the Fair was diverted from the landfill.

SECURITY

The Fairgrounds’ is under video surveillance. During the Fair, law enforcement remains on the grounds 24hrs a day. In the case of an emergency CALL 911 as dispatch will immediately coordinate with emergency staff already on site at the Fair.

Covid Recommendations

Please do not attend the Western Montana Fair if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19. Unvaccinated fairgoers are recommended to wear face masks while indoors. Hand sanitizers will be provided throughout the grounds. For up to date information on Covid-19 visit https://www.missoulainfo.com.
