ACLU of Montana 'We're Still Here' Event

  • Home Arts Building 1101 South Avenue West Missoula, MT 59801 United States (map)

The ACLU of Montana will be hosting our second annual "We're Still Here," with the theme "When Indigenous People Lead." Free and open to the public, our speakers are those who have been on the forefront fighting for Indigenous communities' sovereignty over land, sacred items, names upon places, languages, and people. Indigenous people know that community and responsibility are at the center of true justice and liberation. Indigenous people also know that laughter, joy, love, and storytelling are at the center of true justice and liberation. Indigenous people also know that our futures start here and don't reside with any one political party or in the halls of government. Attendees will hear from people leading these efforts, the community that surrounds, guides, and inspires them. You'll also hear about the future fights in the federal and state government, including the 2023 Legislative Session, that will need us all to stand united with Indigenous people and Tribal Sovereignty. We are Still Here and Here we shall Remain.
