wheelchair accessible ARENA SEATING

The following seats are wheelchair accessible. Accessible seating must be selected at the time of purchase. If you have already purchased tickets and now require accessible accommodations, please contact the Fair Office to inquire about an exchange. While we will do our best to assist, we cannot guarantee accessible seating without a ticket for that designated area.

Guests requiring accessible seating may have up to three companion seats in the wheelchair accessible seating area.

Wheelchairs are available for rent at the Extension Department on a first-come, first-served basis. Folding chairs are also available upon request for guests or companions.

  • Reserved B, Row 1: Seats 1–12

  • Reserved F, Row 1: Seats 1–12

  • Reserved G, Row 1: Seats 1–12

  • Reserved H, Row 1: Seats 1–12


limited mobility ARENA SEATING

The following seats are reserved for guests with limited mobility. If you do not use a wheelchair but would benefit from accessible seating, please select these seats at the time of purchase or email fairgrounds@missoulacounty.us for assistance.

Accessible Seating Locations:

  • Reserved A, Row 1: Seats 1, 16, 17

  • Reserved C, Row 1: Seats 1, 2, 10, 11

  • Reserved E, Row 1: Seats 1, 2, 9, 10


ticketing

The Missoula County Fairgrounds complies with the 2010 ADA Revised Requirements regarding the sale and distribution of accessible seating. Please review the following guidelines before purchasing tickets.

Accessible Seating Policy

  • Request at Purchase: Guests requiring accessible accommodations must require accessible eating at the time of purchase.

  • Ticket Limit: Each guest may purchase one (1) accessible seat and up to three (3) companion seats adjacent to the accessible seat (pending availability) in the wheelchair accessible section.

  • Access Restriction: Due to ticketing protocols, only ticket holders and their ticketed companions will be permitted in accessible seating areas.

How to Purchase Accessible Seating Online

  1. Visit the Ticket Page.

  2. Select Your Event

  3. Select Your Seats

    • Seating Chart: Select your seats based on the arena map according to your needs. Accessible seats are distinguished by the blue (wheelchair accessible) & pink (limited mobility).

    • Best Available: Select your seats based on the best available seats according to your needs. Scroll to the bottom to view accessible seating options. Note: “Best Available” does not distinguish between wheelchair accessible and limited mobility seating.

  4. Confirm Accessibility Needs

    • When adding accessible seats to your cart, you will be asked to attest that you or a member of your party requires these features.

    • Please read the attestation carefully.

Important Notice:

By purchasing accessible seating, you confirm that the seats are being used by someone who requires their features. Misuse of accessible seating may result in investigation and/or reassignment of seating.

  • ADA seating is reserved for the exclusive use of patrons with disabilities and their guests. The purchase or use of these seating locations by non-disabled individuals is strictly prohibited and can result in relocation or ejection. I acknowledge that I am purchasing accessible seats, that accessible seats are for use by a person with a disability who requires accessible seating due to a disability, and that Etix and the venue reserve the right to take action against individuals who fraudulently obtain accessible seating.

  • By clicking Confirm, I acknowledge that at least one of my guests require the accessibility features of the seats that I have selected.

Tickets may also be purchased at the Fair Office located on the Missoula County Fairgrounds campus.

  • Closed: Federal holidays


parking

Accessible parking is available during the Western Montana Fair in the Missoula County Department of Ecology and Extension parking lot. A $10 cash-only fee will be collected by the parking attendant.

Admission to the Fair is free—there are no gate fees to enter the fairgrounds. Fees apply only to parking, concessions, carnival rides, and grandstand events, as noted.


fairgrounds campus shuttle

For the first time ever, the Western Montana Fair is offering a golf cart shuttle service from designated ADA parking area to two key locations on the fairgrounds. This complimentary service is provided by the Missoula Extension department. Shuttle service is available for those who are of limited mobility. See the below map for details.

Please note the following rules:

  • The shuttle is not an on-call service and will not travel beyond the pre-determined route.

  • Shuttle hours of operation are:

    • Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

    • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

    • Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • The shuttle will stop at designated locations every 30 minutes.


wheelchairs

Complimentary wheelchair rentals will be available at the Extension Building from August 5–10, on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Individuals must be 18 years or older to check out a wheelchair.

  • A waiver must be completed prior to checkout.

  • All wheelchairs must be returned by the end of each day to authorized personnel at the Extension Department parking lot.


mountain line fixed route

Mountain Line’s fixed transit is 100% accessible for mobility devices. Their buses are lift or ramp equipped, eliminating the need to climb any stairs to board the bus. Operators are also trained to assist in securing mobility devices, such as wheelchairs and scooters. There are also stop announcements to make your transit as smooth as possible. Fair guests are encouraged to use Mountain Lion’s fixed route services. See below for bus routes.

Maps & Schedule

Mountain Line operates Monday through Friday from the early morning hours to as late as 10:45pm, depending on the route. Hours will vary on the weekend.


mountain line Paratransit & Shuttle Van Services

Mountain Line offers ADA Comparable Paratransit service and Shuttle Van service for eligible passengers within a 3/4 mile radius of existing fixed routes. Use of the paratransit & shuttle van service is dependent on meeting eligibility requirements. Services must also be scheduled in advance.

The Missoula County Fairgrounds/Western Montana Fair does not oversee any part of the Mountain Line


restrooms and concessions

Accessible restrooms are available on east end of the restrooms building, the 1st floor of the Commercial Building and in the far end of the Home Arts Building.

Concession stands are available throughout the fairgrounds campus. Guests can contact staff members for assistance if interested in food & beverage items.


Service Animals

Service animals are permitted at the Western Montana Fair except where it is determined that allowing service animals would fundamentally alter the nature of the goods, services, programs or activities provided to the public as defined by the 2020 ADA Guidelines.

Service animals are excluded from the 4-H Pavilion, Llama Barn (Building #34), poultry exhibits and rabbit exhibits during the Western Montana Fair.
